Willamette Speedway
Armed Forces Night

There are racetracks… and then there’s Willamette Speedway—where the roar of engines blends with the rhythm of freedom, and every lap is a love letter to the red, white, and blue.
This Saturday, The Fastest 1/3 Mile Dirt Track on the West Coast won’t just echo with horsepower—it’ll thunder with gratitude, pride, and a whole lot of heart. Because tonight… we honor the bravest among us.
It’s Armed Forces Night, and Lady Liberty herself might just raise her torch a little higher when the flags drop.
From the first flash of fireworks to the final wave of the checkered, this night belongs to our troops, our veterans, our families, and everyone who believes in the promise of this country.
And leading the charge, steady as ever, are Cory and Sandy Penfold.
They don’t just run a speedway.
They carry a legacy.
They hold the gate open for every dreamer with a helmet, a heart, and a need for speed.
Their leadership turns wrenches into weapons of hope. Their care fuels more than racecars—it fuels community.
Their passion, just like our flag, never touches the ground.
And if you think this show stops at the clay, think again.
Because we’ve got friends in high places—like:
• Coca Cola – classic, cool, and always refreshing freedom
• Peak Internet – keeping the speed on and the world watching
• Albany Toyota – driving excellence, one proud mile at a time
• J&K Auto Body and Collision – making every car shine like a medal of honor
These sponsors don’t just stand behind us—they stand with us.
And somewhere, in the hush before engines fire, there’s a soft breeze through the grandstands—and in it, a familiar smile.
Clair Arnold.
Watching.
Proud.
The dream he built now racing stronger than ever.
A man who gave dirt a purpose, and a town its heartbeat.
So come early. Bring your family. Wear your flag.
Let the kids wave their arms, let the anthem give you chills, and let your voice fly when the cars roll four-wide for the land of the free.
God bless our soldiers.
God bless Willamette Speedway.
And God bless this beautiful ride we call America.
